A 19-year-old man, Alan Aba, has been arrested and charged with first-degree murder after two women were found brutally murdered in their New York apartment. The incident occurred on Saturday, February 15, when officers from the Spring Valley Police Department conducted a welfare check at an apartment located on Gesner Drive in Spring Valley, New York.
Upon arrival at the scene around 8:30 p.m., officers discovered two women with severe head injuries. One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was transported to Westchester Medical Center. Unfortunately, the second woman also succumbed to her injuries later that night. While their identities have not been publicly disclosed, authorities confirmed that the attack appeared to be isolated, and the victims and suspect were known to each other.
The police initially investigated reports of firearms being involved in the incident but confirmed that no firearms were used. The attack was classified as an isolated event, and there was no ongoing threat to the public.
On Sunday, February 16, Alan Aba, a resident of Westwood, New Jersey, was arrested in connection with the murders. Aba, who is less than 30 minutes away from the crime scene, was taken into custody and arraigned at the Rockland County Jail. Local law enforcement agencies, including the Rockland County Sheriff’s Department and the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office, assisted in the investigation and arrest.
