PM Modi Bold Claim: No Foreign Forces to Disrupt This Parliament Session

Ahead of the Budget Session, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a playful jab at the Opposition, pointing out that for the first time since 2014, no foreign forces had tried to stir up trouble before the session. In his usual pre-session speech, he reflected on how, since 2014, it had almost become a pattern for some people to create disruptions right before the Budget meetings.

According to Modi, this was the first time in many years that there was no “foreign interference” trying to add fuel to the fire. He humorously referred to this as no “videshi chingari,” or foreign sparks, sparking controversy within the country.

His remarks come after several recent disruptions in Parliament, including the chaos caused by baseless claims made by a US-based short-seller, Hindenburg, before it shut down. Despite this, Modi’s tone seemed upbeat about the current session, which kicked off with an address by President Droupadi Murmu to both houses of Parliament. The focus of this year’s session, according to the Prime Minister, is on India’s development, with a special emphasis on empowering women.

Modi emphasized that the session would focus on “innovation, inclusion, and investment” and would see the introduction of key bills aimed at strengthening the country’s economy. He also made a point to encourage the young Members of Parliament, calling this session a golden opportunity for them to witness and contribute to India’s growth toward becoming a “Viksit Bharat” or developed nation. According to him, the next 25 years would be crucial for India’s young population, especially those in their 20s and 30s, as they would be the future policymakers guiding the country to success.

In a nutshell, the Prime Minister urged MPs to work together to fulfill the dreams and aspirations of the people, while aiming for a transformed and reformed India.
