Delhi’s captain, Ayush Badoni, won the toss on Day 1 and invited Railways to bat first. Railways made the most of the opportunity, with strong performances from wicketkeeper Upendra Yadav (who scored a solid 95) and spinner Karn Sharma (who contributed 50 runs). Thanks to their efforts, Railways posted a total of 241 runs. In response, Delhi ended the first day at 41/1, with Arpit Rana getting out early.
As Day 2 began, cricket fans were excited to see Virat Kohli walk out to bat for Delhi at number 4. However, his time at the crease was short-lived. Kohli, who had high expectations on him, managed just 6 runs off 15 balls. He did hit one boundary before being clean bowled by Railways’ Himanshu Sangwan in the 28th over, sending the crowd into a stunned silence.
The match continues, and while Delhi had a tough start, their captain Ayush Badoni and the team’s all-rounder Sumit Mathur will be looking to steady the ship and lead Delhi to a strong recovery.
