Purpose

Every team member and associate is expected to conduct themselves with integrity, fairness, and in compliance with all applicable laws. This policy outlines the principles and responsibilities that guide our editorial and business conduct, ensuring that personal interests never compromise public trust or the credibility of our content.

General Policy Application

Gifts, Favors, and Payments by NB Prime

NB Prime may authorize gifts or entertainment only if:

  1. They align with standard and acceptable business practices
  2. They are modest in value and cannot be mistaken for bribes or undue influence
  3. They comply with legal and ethical norms
  4. Public disclosure would not cause embarrassment to the organization

Unwritten compensations or incentives to individuals affiliated with our partners, vendors, or clients are strictly prohibited.

Gifts, Favors, Entertainment, and Payments Received

Team Members Must Not:

  1. Solicit or accept gifts, entertainment, payments, or personal loans from individuals or organizations doing business with NB Prime unless:
    • The gift is customary (e.g., calendars, pens)
    • Meals and tickets are modest, vendor-hosted, and pre-approved by management
    • Outings are occasional, business-related, and include vendor participation
  2. Accept cash, securities, or equivalent gifts
  3. Use vendor-owned properties (vacation homes, etc.) for personal purposes unless the vendor is present and usage is brief and pre-approved
  4. Accept gifts of value from subordinates if in a managerial role

Conflicts of Interest

All associates must avoid any situation where personal interests conflict with NB Prime’s interests. Disclosures are required for:

  • Ownership or substantial interest in a competitor or business partner
  • Serving in any decision-making role with such businesses
  • Acting as an intermediary for external interests in NB Prime’s dealings
  • Any relationship (personal or professional) that may affect objective decision-making

Confidential Information

Any misuse, unauthorized sharing, or mishandling of proprietary or confidential information—including editorial strategies, vendor data, internal plans, or personnel information—is strictly forbidden and may result in disciplinary action.

Compliance

Violations of this policy may lead to administrative action or termination. If you become aware of a breach, report it immediately to the appropriate NB Prime leadership or HR. Each department head is accountable for ensuring compliance.

Social Media Guidelines

Social media is a powerful tool. What you share is public—possibly forever—and reflects not just on you, but on NB Prime. Use good judgment.

Key Principles

  • Be Responsible: You’re accountable for what you post. If in doubt—don’t post it.

  • Report Violations: If you see something unethical or illegal, report it to NB Prime HR.

NB Prime has a zero-tolerance policy on plagiarism. All articles and editorial content must be original or properly attributed. We uphold journalistic integrity and expect the same from all our contributors and partners.
