A California couple suspected of carrying out a string of robberies statewide were nabbed on Valentine’s Day 2024 — shortly after they exchanged vows in Las Vegas. It was over a year later when the couple and their suspected cohort were officially indicted on various federal charges, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California announced on Thursday, February 20, 2025.
Details of the Robbery Spree
North Hollywood’s Antonio Lamar Bland, 36, and Abigail Luckey, 49, and their alleged accomplice Ronnie Tucker, 23, face 12 combined charges related to their January-March 2024 string of robberies. In the superseding indictment it unsealed Wednesday, February 19, it states that during the period spanning from January 29 to February 14, 2024, the threesome robbed 12 stores in the Los Angeles area and Orange counties.
The businesses involved nine 7-Eleven convenience stores, a smoke shop, and two doughnut shops — one of which was the location of their last robbery attempt. Officials stated the robberies normally occurred in the evening, with Bland and Tucker entering the businesses in hooded sweatshirts and face masks, with Luckey allegedly serving as the getaway driver.

Las Vegas Wedding Amid Crime Spree
In the midst of their two-week crime spree, Bland and Luckey paused their activities to get married in Las Vegas on February 6, 2024. The couple returned to California just two days later to resume their alleged robberies.
Their last attempted robbery was on Valentine’s Day at a Downey, California doughnut shop. The attempt was foiled when an employee pulled out a gun and discharged a warning shot, which grazed the wall of the building. The suspects drove away but were immediately caught by police officers who had observed the scene. A gun was found in their car.
Indictment and Charges
A year later, a federal grand jury indicted Luckey, Bland, and Tucker on various charges:
One count of conspiracy to interfere with commerce by robbery (Hobbs Act)
Three counts of Hobbs Act robbery
One count of attempted Hobbs Act robbery
In addition, Bland and Tucker each have an additional charge of Hobbs Act robbery and four charges of discharge of a firearm in relation to a crime of violence. Bland has one charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm and one charge of being a felon in possession of ammunition because they have prior felony convictions for carjacking and possession of a drug in prison.
Possible Sentences and Trial Date
If found guilty on all charges, Bland, Luckey, and Tucker each can be sentenced to a maximum of 20 years in federal prison per Hobbs Act robbery-related charge. Bland and Tucker potentially can receive a mandatory minimum sentence of seven years for each charge of brandishing a firearm. Bland potentially can receive a maximum of 15 years for his other firearms-related charges.
The three defendants have been in federal custody since they were arrested. Their trial will start on May 6, 2025.
