Philadelphia Eagles alum Jason Kelce recently opened up about his younger brother, Travis Kelce, and how much he has grown in recent years. Speaking on the Fitz & Whit Podcast on Feb. 18, 2025, Jason reflected on Travis’ evolution from a carefree personality to a more mature individual while still maintaining his trademark enthusiasm.
Travis Kelce’s Growth Over the Years
During the conversation with podcast hosts Ryan Fitzpatrick and Andrew Whitworth, Jason, 37, shared how significant the transformation has been.
“It’s been staggering, honestly,” Jason said, describing how Travis, 34, has transitioned from having a basketball hoop in his living room to leading a more structured and responsible life.
“One of the things I love so much about Travis is that he never grew up,” Jason added. “He was like Peter Pan, the Lost Boys.”

The Influence of Supportive People in His Life
Jason attributed part of his brother’s personal growth to the people surrounding him.
“I think that sometimes you get people in your life that maybe get that out of you,” he said. “That’s a good thing.”
His comments come at a time when Travis’ personal and professional life continues to attract attention, especially following the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl loss earlier this month and his highly publicized relationship with global music icon Taylor Swift.
Balancing Maturity with His Signature Energy
Despite his growth, Jason assured fans that Travis Kelce’s fun-loving personality remains intact.
“Trav, he is growing up. He’s still got that youthful enthusiasm,” Jason said. “I think he’ll kind of always have that. It’s just part of his personality.”
He further praised his younger brother’s impact on the NFL locker room, saying, “I think it’s one of the reasons every teammate has ever loved playing with him.”
Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s Relationship
Since going public with Taylor Swift in October 2023, Travis has been spotted at several of her Eras Tour concerts, while Swift has attended many of his NFL games.
During a January 2025 appearance on The Stephen A. Smith Show, Travis shared insights into their relationship.
“I’m enjoying all aspects of life. Me and Taylor are happy,” he said. “I couldn’t be happier to have that confidence and that comfort off the field and all the support I could ever ask for in the stadium.”

He also spoke about how their relationship strengthens his professional focus, saying, “I think personally, that’s the beauty of being in a very strong relationship—you get that support to focus on your craft, focus on being the best version of you.”
